The lucky winner bought the ticket in Paterson

Someone bought a jackpot winning Jersey Cash 5 ticket worth nearly $795,000 for Monday’s drawing at a food market in Passaic County.

The lucky winner made the purchase at Q&L Food Market on 5th Avenue in Paterson, state lottery officials said Tuesday.

The winning numbers were: 9, 13, 17, 24 and 39. The XTRA number drawn was: 3.

Retailers across the state sold 764,215 tickets for Monday’s drawing, which was worth $794,554. The jackpot climbed to more than three-quarters of a million dollars after five consecutive daily drawings without a winner.

Tuesday’s jackpot resets to $75,000.

The odds of a $1 ticket matching all five numbers are 962,598 to 1.
