Bank robber nabbed with feds help, officials say

An Asbury Park man was arrested on Wednesday in connection with a bank robbery in a neighboring town, authorities said Saturday.
Michael Miranda, 48, was taken into custody without incident and charged with one count of second-degree robbery, according to the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office.
The alleged robbery took place at a TD Bank in West Log Branch shortly before 8:45 a.m. Monday.
A man walked into the bank and handed a note to a teller demanding money, the prosecutor’s office said. It was unclear if he was armed, but no weapon was shown.
The man took the note back from the teller and was given $825 in cash, according to the prosecutor’s office. He then fled the scene.
