Plans more than a decade in the works to turn Elizabeth Street Garden into affordable housing for seniors have been scrapped.

The plan for affordable housing at the Elizabeth Street Garden is dead. First Deputy Mayor Randy Mastro announced Monday that the Adams administration struck a deal with Councilmember Christopher Marte that would scrap the plan for 123 units of affordable senior housing at the site in order to preserve the green space.
