The Eagles currently have just one pick in the first three rounds of the 2018 NFL Draft, which begins Thursday, April 26, 2018 (4/26/18) at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Their only pick comes at No. 32 overall — the result of winning Super Bowl LII, 41-33, against the New England Patriots.
Howie Roseman has been running the show as the Eagles top football executive since 2010, and not once during his tenure has the team finished a draft without making at least two selections in the first three rounds.
That could change during the 2018 NFL Draft.
The Eagles currently have just one pick in the first three rounds, and their only pick comes at No. 32 overall — the result of winning Super Bowl LII.
Here is a look at all of the Eagles’ current draft picks heading into Thursday night:
1st Round: No. 32
2nd Round: No picks
3rd Round: No picks
4th Round: No. 130
4th Round: No. 132
5th Round: No. 169
6th Round: No. 206
7th Round: No. 250
Roseman does have some ammunition to move up, especially into the third round, as he could package both of his fourth-round picks in a deal. It is also possible the Eagles try to trade down from No 32. overall.
Although it is the last pick of the first round, it does have extra value, as players that are picked in the first-round of the NFL Draft sign a contract with a fifth-year option — meaning teams can control those players for up to five years. That is not the case for players selected outside of the first round.
Roseman has made it clear that the Eagles are always looking to add draft picks, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see him do just that on Thursday night.
