POINT PLEASANT BEACH — Point Pleasant Beach Municipal Judge Robert M. LePore will face two months of suspension, without pay, from the bench after admitting to Facebook posts expressing support for law enforcement and candidates for political office, the New Jersey Supreme Court ordered Tuesday.

According to the court order, the New Jersey Supreme Court Advisory Committee on Judicial Conduct (ACJC) found that LePore’s social media activity violated several rules of the state Supreme Court, including those “requiring judges to observe high standards of conduct so that the integrity and independence of the Judiciary may be preserved” and “requiring judges to remain free of politics, including publicly endorsing a candidate.”
