Rita Marie Martin passed away peacefully on June 5, 2025. She lived in Spring Lake Heights by way of Bay Ridge, Brooklyn for over 40 years.
She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph F. Martin Jr. and Rita H. Martin; her brother, Joseph Martin III (Ann). She is survived by her brothers, James Martin (Pat) and Jack Martin (Ellen), and by her beloved nieces and nephews: John Martin, Joseph F. Martin IV, Amy Mathis, Felicia Hansen, and Michael Martin. She is also mourned by a loving extended family and many lifelong friends.
Rita graduated from Notre Dame Academy in Staten Island, New York and went on to earn three Master’s Degrees — in political science, social work, and public health — from Fordham University, Johns Hopkins University, and the University of Pennsylvania.
