2 DC 33 workers on strike hurt in suspected DUI hit-and-run – NBC10 Philadelphia

Police are investigating a hit-and-run incident that left two striking Philadelphia workers hurt in Port Richmond overnight.

Officials stated that the incident happened just before 11:30 p.m. on Delaware Avenue. A driver, identified by police as 41-year-old Damon Robinson, jumped the curb and hit two AFSCME District Council 33 members who were on strike and sitting in chairs on the sidewalk, then took off.

The victims are a 36-year-old man who’s now extremely critical with injuries to his head and face and a 30-year-old woman who’s expected to recover.

According to DC 33’s president, the woman is pregnant.

Meanwhile, officials stated that police located Robinson, who was driving a large Chevrolet Tahoe SUV, in just under two minutes.
