An investigation is underway after police said a man was shot and killed outside an apartment in Atlantic City, New Jersey, earlier this week.
According to the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office, on Thursday, June 26, 2025, just before 9 p.m., the Atlantic City Police Department received a 911 call regarding a man lying on the sidewalk outside the Shore Park apartments, located at 225 N. Virginia Ave.
When police arrived, prosecutors said they found a man, identified as Robert Stanley Davis, 40, of Atlantic City, unresponsive with what appeared to be one gunshot wound to the head.
Prosecutors said Davis was pronounced dead a short time later.
