A New York Yankees fan avoided serious injuries after a scary incident on Friday at Dodger Stadium.
Ricardo Aquino told The Athletic through a translator that a piece of the stadium ceiling hit him in the back during Friday’s game, an 8-5 Dodgers win. The fan from Mexico City said that he was in pain but just needed an ice pack and returned to his seat. The Athletic included a picture of the piece of concrete, which was about the size of an adult fist.
On Saturday, as The Athletic reported, a protective netting was added to the upper deck. According to the outlet, the incident occurred in Section 10 reserve.
