Flynn Drops in on Spadea

Retired general Michael Flynn dropped into New Jersey Friday night to give a boost to Bill Spadea.

“We need people who are willing to stick their necks out. We need people who are fearless,” Flynn said of Spadea in a telephone conference call.

What the state does not need, Flynn said, is a “stale politician.”  He did not mention Jack Ciattarelli, who is leading the GOP polling, by name but the reference was obvious.

Flynn, of course, has had a spotty history. He was Donald Trump’s national security advisor for less than a month. He was fired and eventually pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI. Trump ultimately pardoned him.

Nonetheless, Flynn has emerged as a star in right wing circles.
