Fox News catches Trump in a lie about clash with Gavin Newsom

President Donald Trump was caught in a lie about the last time he spoke with California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) amid the ongoing immigration protests in Los Angeles.

While speaking with reporters in the Oval Office on Tuesday, Trump said that he spoke to Newsom “a day ago” about the ongoing protests and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids occurring in Los Angeles. This comes as Trump and Newsom have escalated their feud with one another in recent days over the response to the demonstrations.
