Maryland State Police investigate fatal hit-and-run on I-95 in Harford County

ABINGDON, Md. — A 33-year-old man was killed early Sunday morning in a hit-and-run crash on northbound I-95 in Harford County, according to Maryland State Police.

Troopers from the JFK Memorial Highway Barrack responded to the scene just south of the Riverside Parkway exit around 2:08 a.m., where they found the male pedestrian deceased. His identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

Preliminary investigation indicates the pedestrian was walking in the left lane of the interstate when he was struck by a vehicle believed to be a 2021–2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The driver fled the scene and has not yet been identified.
