Salty Whale subdivision application to be heard by planning board Tuesday night – Star News Group

MANASQUAN — The Manasquan Planning Board will meet on Tuesday, July 1 and hear an application requesting the demolition of The Salty Whale and Guesthouse and the subdivision of the property into five conforming lots.
Located at 390 E. Main St., the building has housed a number of restaurants over the years and is currently the operating location of The Salty Whale and Guesthouse, which first opened in 2018. A post to The Salty Whale’s Facebook page says the restaurant remains open.
The major subdivision application seeks to remove all structures on the property for a five-lot subdivision. The property lies in a residential single family zone. According to the application, the proposal seeks four 7,137 square foot lots and a 8,070 square foot fifth lot.
