Booker, Kim Statement on Appointment of Alina Habba as Acting U.S. Attorney

Today, U.S. Senators Cory Booker (D-NJ) and Andy Kim (D-NJ) issued the following statement:

“This is another attempt by the Trump Administration to install Alina Habba as U.S. Attorney for the District of New Jersey by bypassing the court’s lawful authority and ignoring the required advice and consent of Congress.

“The court lawfully appointed Desiree Grace as U.S. Attorney, and we fully support its rightful exercise of authority to ensure New Jersey’s top law enforcement official is qualified and prepared to serve our state.
