POINT PLEASANT BEACH — Ocean Fire Company of Point Beach was one of 12 departments awarded a $10,000 grant for equipment upgrades last week as part of Proper No. Twelve Whiskey’s “One for All” project, an initiative supporting firehouses nationwide in their critical needs.
According to a press release from the Irish whiskey company, founded by mixed martial artist Conor McGregor, the One for All project is an “ongoing effort to tackle the funding crisis facing fire departments across the US…(It) launched last month and with an initial $160,000 in grants awarded to support firehouses nationwide.”
