Philadelphia police are investigating three separate shootings that left one man dead and three other men hospitalized early Saturday morning.
According to police, the first shooting happened at 12:40 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 2, 2025 on the 6000 block of Catherine Street in West Philadelphia. A 35-year-old man was shot in the left shoulder, neck and side of the head.
Police said he was transported to the hospital by private vehicle and listed in stable condition.
A preliminary investigation reveals that the motive behind the shooting was robbery, according to police.
Investigators describe the suspect as a man, around 6 feet tall and was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black shoes.
