Air quality alert issued for 11 N.J. counties Friday

On Friday at 9:43 a.m. an air quality alert was reported by the National Weather Service in effect until 11 p.m. for Hunterdon, Somerset, Middlesex, Monmouth, Mercer, Salem, Gloucester, Camden, Burlington, Ocean and Cumberland counties.
“The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection has issued a Code Orange Air Quality Action Day for Ground Level Ozone, until 11 p.m. this evening,” says the weather service.
