On Tuesday, nearly two dozen Philly teens will be traveling 5,000 miles from New York City to Ghana, where they will spend their time using their learned trade skills to build desks and chairs for locals in the African country.
The trip was put together by the group Unity in the Community, an anti-gun violence organization that teaches trade skills to at-risk teens to help give them opportunities and keep them away from the streets.
