Booker Decries Trump’s Escalation of L.A. Crisis

U.S. Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ), a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee and Senate Foreign Relations Committee issued the following statement:

“The Trump administration rapidly escalated the situation in Los Angeles by deploying the National Guard without the consent of the governor. Now, Trump is deploying hundreds of active-duty Marines as a misguided show of force against American citizens and residents, which would only escalate the situation and further endanger the public, law enforcement, and our servicemembers.
