Several people who are experiencing homelessness in Philadelphia told NBC10 that sometimes they are harassed, physically assaulted and one woman even said she has been sexually assaulted.
Living on the street can be tough, they told NBC10.
On Wednesday, Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner said they are going to come after anyone who attacks the city’s most vulnerable.
Dshawn Crawford pleads guilty to attacking unhoused people
In one case, Dshawn Crawford was sentenced to 40 to 80 years in prison after pleading guilty to stabbing and killing an unhoused person.
Crawford also plead guilty to stabbing and hurting another person. That attack was captured in surveillance video, according to prosecutors.
