Driver Charged With DWI After Ocean County Crash

MANCHESTER — A Manchester woman was hospitalized and charged with driving while intoxicated after crashing her pickup truck into a utility pole and overturning into a wooded area, police said.

The crash occurred around 12:58 p.m. near Commonwealth Boulevard and Third Street on July 16. Responding officers found a red 2024 Nissan Frontier overturned about 20 yards into the woods, with severe front-end damage. A nearby utility pole had been split in half, leaving high-voltage power lines strewn across the roadway.
