Fire at West Philly rowhome forces residents to jump out windows – NBC10 Philadelphia

A dramatic scene unfolded early Sunday morning in one West Philadelphia neighborhood. Witnesses said they watched in fear as people jumped from the second floor of a burning home in Cobbs Creek.

The flames broke out around 9:30 a.m. on June 8 on the 600 block of Walton Avenue and was under control around 10 a.m., officials said.

Officials with the Philadelphia Fire Department said that two people were taken to nearby hospitals for their injuries. Crews were at the scene for several hours Sunday while those affected watched and were overcome with emotions.
