MANASQUAN — Amid a state of emergency declared by Acting Governor Tahesha Way, the Fireman’s Fair has been cancelled on Thursday, July 31.
Due to potential for flash flooding, severe thunderstorms, intense rainfall and high wind gusts, officials from Manasquan’s Volunteer Engine Co. #2 announced that the fair at Mallard Park will be closed on Thursday night on Facebook.
According to the press release that declared the state of emergency, forecast generally expect rainfall totals of 1 to 3 inches, with localized totals amounting up to 5 to 7 inches of rainfall.
