Man, 77, dead after being hit by motorcycle in N.J., cops say

A 77-year-old man died on Friday after he was hit by a motorcycle in North Jersey.
Police responded to a crash reported on Ratzer Road in Wayne at 9:27 a.m. Officers on the scene observed a pedestrian who had been struck and a motorcycle driver who was still on the scene, the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office said in a statement.
The pedestrian was later pronounced dead, authorities said. His name is being withheld pending notification of the next of kin.
Officials have not yet released the circumstances of the crash.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
