Neighbors in one part of Lewes, Delaware, had a long and scary night after a man exchanged gunfire with police and then barricaded himself inside a house.
“I heard pow pow pow pow and then all of a sudden I heard the helicopters,” neighbor William Pinera said.
The man, identified as Jason Arnold, was found dead inside a home hours later, according to officials.
According to Delaware State Police Lt. India Sturgis, troopers responded to a house on the 32000 block of Cea Dag Circle in Dagsboro around 11 p.m. Sunday, June 22. A person called to report that a man was threatening to harm himself and his family.
