Motorcyclist killed in crash with SUV, police say

A motorcyclist was killed Sunday afternoon in a collision with a vehicle in Gloucester Township, police said.

The motorcyclist – who was not immediately identified – was riding southeast on Sicklerville Road toward Winslow Township when the motorcycle collided with a sport-utility vehicle at the intersection with Berlin Cross Keys Road at about 3:45 p.m. The impact ejected the rider, Gloucester Township police said.

Responding officers and EMS crews worked to save the motorcyclist, but he died at the scene. The SUV driver was taken to a local hospital for evaluation, police said.

Police closed the intersection for several hours to investigate, an effort that was ongoing Sunday night.
