President Donald Trump is a master at inserting himself anywhere, everywhere.
On Sunday, after congratulating Chelsea FC players on their FIFA World Cup win, Trump stood among them as they lifted the trophy in celebration.
In an interview with DAZN, Trump later revealed that the trophy being hoisted at MetLife Stadium was a replica.
If Chelsea FC were lifting a replica, where’s the real trophy?
“They said, ‘Could you hold this trophy for a little while?’ We put it in the Oval Office,” Trump said, via YouTube. “And then I said, ‘When are you going to pick up the trophy?’ He says, ‘We’re never going to pick it up. You can have it forever in the Oval Office. We’re making a new one.’”
