The second annual “Pittiefest” returns to Pennsylvania to celebrate “pitties,” where animal lovers are invited to meet adoptable pit bulls with a special adoption fee of $5.
Adopters can travel to four Pennsylvania SPCA sites from Aug. 1 through Aug. 15 to see these furry friends in Philadelphia Headquarters, Danville, Lancaster, and the Main Line Animal Rescue Site from noon to 6:30 p.m. every day.
Supported by the John & Christine Tortorella Family Foundation, “Pittiefest,” inspired by the popular Wawa Hoagiefest, saw nearly 50 pitties of all sizes find a home last year.
Another key aspect of the event is to educate and spread awareness to the public about common pit bull misconceptions.
