Here is a look at shows taking place from May 27 to June 2, 2025 along with our featured listings and a look at some upcoming shows. New Jersey Stage offers previews of concerts throughout the Garden State as well as select shows in New York City and Philadelphia areas. Click on the title to go to the full preview. Michael Arnone’s 32nd Annual Crawfish Fest takes Place May 30th through June 1st. (AUGUSTA, NJ) — Michael Arnone’s 32nd Annual Crawfish Fest takes place at the Sussex County Fairgrounds from Friday, May 30 through Sunday, June 1, 2025, bringing the best food, music, and culture that Louisiana and New Orleans have to offer to the East Coast.

12th Annual Jersey City Jazz Festival – May 30-31. (JERSEY CITY, NJ) — Exchange Place Alliance presents the 12th Annual Jersey City Jazz Festival May 30-31, 2025. A two-day celebration of music takes place on the Hudson River waterfront and features three stages, a community zone, food trucks, bars, a VIP experience, and even a parade.

Friday, May 30 – Glen Burtnik Talks About Revisiting the Music of Styx at The Basie. (RED BANK, NJ) — Glen Burtnik has lined up a great group of musicians to play songs by Styx at the Count Basie Center for the Arts on Friday, May 30, 2025. It’s a show I’ve got to admit I didn’t see coming, but one that long-time fans of Glen should get a ticket for.

Saturday, May 31 – State Theatre New Jersey presents The Fab Faux performing “A Hard Day’s Night” and “Abbey Road” albums. (NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) — State Theatre New Jersey presents The Fab Faux on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at 8:00pm. The band will perform A Hard Day’s Night and Abbey Road in their entireties. Joining The Fab Faux are The Hogshead Horns (with Blues Brothers, Blood, Sweat & Tears and SNL band alums) and The Creme Tangerine Strings.

Saturday, May 31 – Outpost in the Burbs presents the Martin Sexton Abbey Road Show. (MONTCLAIR, NJ) — Outpost in the Burbs presents The Martin Sexton Abbey Road Show on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at 8:00pm. Martin Sexton puts his signature style on his rendition of this iconic Beatles album combining what Rolling Stone calls his “soul-marinated voice” with his inventive guitar prowess. The show takes place at the First Congregational Church of Montclair.

Sunday, June 1 – Grunin Center presents Jazz on a Sunday Afternoon with vibraphonist Behn Gillece and guitarist Brian Betz. (TOMS RIVER, NJ) — The Jay and Linda Grunin Center for the Arts will welcome vibraphonist Behn Gillece and guitarist Brian Betz to the Prima Studio Theatre for Jazz on a Sunday Afternoon on Sunday, June 1, 2025 at 3:00pm. The Grunin Center is located on the main campus of Ocean County College in Toms River.

Jersey City Jazz Week Leads Up to 12th Annual Jersey City Jazz Festival. (JERSEY CITY, NJ) — The 12th annual Jersey City Jazz Festival, produced by the non-profit organization Riverview Jazz and presented by Exchange Place Alliance, will host hundreds of musicians on Friday, May 30 beginning at 6:00pm and Saturday, May 31, 2025 at Exchange Place plaza on the Hudson River waterfront from noon to 9:00pm. The festival is a free event with one ticketed stage (Clubhouse by Fords Gin) and VIP options.

Wednesday, May 28 – The Vogel presents Tab Benoit. (RED BANK, NJ) — Acclaimed Grammy-nominated Bayou Blues guitarist Tab Benoit, “Louisiana’s Living Legend,” makes a special local appearance at The Vogel on Wednesday, May 28, 2025. Doors are 6:30pm, showtime is 7:30pm. He’s coming off a memorable performance at New Orleans’ Jazz Fest, where Live Music News & Review wrote, “there are lots of blues musicians that play Jazz Fest each year, but none exemplify the Delta blues and swampland style better than Tab Benoit.”

Wednesday, May 28 – Blues Traveler and Gin Blossoms join Jimmy Kimmel Live! on May 28th ahead of tour. On Wednesday, May 28, 2025 multi-platinum rock legends Blues Traveler and Gin Blossoms will hit the stage on Jimmy Kimmel Live! for a special performance on ABC. The appearance sets the tone for their upcoming summer co-headlining tour — an electrifying 30+ date run that includes a show in Atlantic City – Ovation Hall at Ocean Casino Resort on Saturday, July 19. Spin Doctors are on the bill as well.

Thursday, May 29 – Latin Night Thursdays presents “Rumba Cubana and Rhythms” with Enildo Rasua. (WEEHAWKEN, NJ) — The vibrant rhythms of Latin music will take over the stage one last time this spring, as United Children’s Music Project’s Latin Night Thursdays series wraps up with the electrifying sounds of “Rumba Cubana and Rhythms” and the dynamic artistry of Enildo Rasua (“The Third Hand”) on Thursday, May 29, 2025 at 7:30pm (4710 Park Avenue, Weehawken, NJ). Proper attire and a $15 donation at the door are requested.

Thursday, May 29 – Princeton Makes Artist Cooperative to host Rhythm and Hues event on Thursday. (PRINCETON, NJ) — On Thursday, May 29, 2025, Princeton Makes, a Princeton-based artist cooperative, will host Rhythm and Hues, a musical and artistic collaborative event, in the Courtyard of the Princeton Shopping Center. The event will take place at 6:00pm.

Friday, May 30 – Tusk to perform Two Nights at The Newton Theatre. (NEWTON, NJ) — Tusk, the Classic Fleetwood Mac Tribute, comes to The Newton Theatre for performances on Friday, May 30th and Saturday, May 31, 2025. Showtime is 8:00pm each night.

Saturday, May 31 – Tuckerton Porchfest Returns May 31st with 7 Stages, 30+ Performers, and One Big Community Celebration. (TUCKERTON, NJ) — On Saturday, May 31, 2025, the streets of Tuckerton will once again come alive with music, poetry, and art as Tuckerton Porchfest returns for another unforgettable year. This free, all-ages event transforms front porches, local businesses, and community spaces into live performance venues from 11:00am to 7:00pm, showcasing over 30 local musicians, poets, and performers across seven stages.

Saturday, May 31 – James Dalton presents “Harmonica Lesson: The Show” at Ocean County Library Long Beach Island Branch. (SURF CITY, NJ) — Ocean County native James Dalton’s harmonica artistry takes him around the world, and each stop on the way creates memorable moments. Join James for stories from the road and learn some mouth harp magic during “Harmonica Lesson: The Show” at the Ocean County Library Long Beach Island Branch on Saturday, May 31, 2025. The event begins at 2:00pm.

Saturday, May 31 – The Bongos to Celebrate Release of “The Shroud of Touring: Live in 1985” at The Wonder Bar. (ASBURY PARK, NJ) — The Bongos will celebrate the release of The Shroud of Touring: Live in 1985 at The Wonder Bar in Asbury Park on Saturday, May 31, 2025. Showtime is 8:00pm. The CD will be released by JEM Records on May 23rd.

Saturday, May 31 – Under Cover Music Fest to Take Place May 31st in South Orange. (SOUTH ORANGE, NJ) — South Orange Downtown presents its signature event, Under Cover Music Fest, on Saturday, May 31, 2025 from 2:00pm to 10:00pm.  The event takes place at the Sloan Street Parking Lot (12 Sloan Street). It features eight cover bands, a beer garden, and food vendors. Admission is free.

2025 Princeton Festival’s Opening Weekend – ICONS: The Voices That Changed Music, Renée Fleming, and Melissa Errico  (PRINCETON, NJ) — The Princeton Symphony Orchestra (PSO) is set to launch its 2025 Princeton Festival with performances spotlighting beloved superstars of popular music, opera, and Broadway. New Jersey’s premier performing arts festival, the Princeton Festival opens Friday, June 6 with ICONS: The Voices that Changed Music followed by Renée Fleming with the Princeton Symphony Orchestra on Saturday, June 7, and Sondheim in the City with Melissa Errico on Sunday, June 8. Steampunk Alchemy Fest Returns to Morris County in June  (BUDD LAKE, NJ) — Steampunk Alchemy Fest returns June 6-8, 2025 to Budd Lake for its fourth year of celebrating the creativity and innovation of steampunk culture. Gospel Singer Carla Harris to Perform at NJPAC  (NEWARK, NJ) — New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) presents a special Sunday afternoon with the nationally acclaimed Gospel sensation Carla Harris on Sunday, June 8, 2025 at 3:00pm. Carla will perform a selection of her favorite music genres—including jazz, country, and gospel—to benefit the YMCA of Newark & Vicinity and the Primary Care Scholars Program of Hackensack Meridian Health Medical School.

North Jersey Blues Society to Hold Artist Emergency Relief Fundraiser at The Stanhope House  (STANHOPE, NJ) — The North Jersey Blues Society (NJBS) is excited to announce the Artist Emergency Relief Fundraiser. NJBS has established an Artist Emergency Relief Fund (AERF) to assist artists in need. This fund is specifically designed to support NJBS artists who find themselves in crisis situations. Currently, the fund’s balance is $1,400, generated through the sale of an NJBS compilation CD. Their goal is to double this amount during a fundraiser on June 8, 2025 at The Stanhope House.

From Privilege to Purpose: An Evening with HRH Crown Prince Manvendra  (WHIPPANY, NJ) — Harmonium Choral Society is hosting an evening of music and conversation with HRH Crown Prince Manvendra Singh Gohil and his husband, HH Prince deAndre, Duke of Hanumanteshwar, on their 2025 USA PRIDE MONTH TOUR: Human Rights Advocacy, on Friday, June 13, 2025 at the Ukrainian American Cultural Center (60 N Jefferson Rd) in Whippany.
