The Stanhope House will close.
One of Northern New Jersey’s most historic concert venues, The Stanhope House, will close, as of today.
The club has posted this message on its Facebook page: “Effective immediately (7/30/25) the decision has been made to close the Stanhope House. All tickets purchased through TicketLeap will be refunded through TicketLeap.”
The Stanhouse House — housed in a building that was constructed in 1794 — billed itself as “The Last Great American Roadhouse.” Artists who have played there over the years include Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker, Buddy Guy, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Albert King, Johnny Winter, Jorma Kaukonen, Warren Haynes and Robert Randolph.
