Philadelphia Eagles superstar Saquon Barkley is among the current and former athletes chosen for President Donald Trump’s council focused on fitness and healthy living as well as “restoring tradition to college athletics.”
The council is part of an executive order Trump signed on Thursday, July 31, 2025, reviving the Presidential Fitness Test.
The order reinstates the national fitness assessment implemented in public schools from 1956 until 2013, NBC News reports. Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. will be responsible for administering the test, which included children running and performing situps, pullups or pushups as well as a sit-and-reach test.
