SOMERVILLE, N.J. — The Somerset County Department of Human Services announced Monday that mental health services are now available for residents impacted by recent flooding.

Support is being provided through the Richard Hall Community Health and Wellness Center (RHCHWC), which is prioritizing appointments for flood-affected individuals. Residents may contact the RHCHWC Access Center at (908) 253-3165 to request services and be connected with a Care Navigator.

“Individuals who have experienced flooding often experience a range of reactions including feelings of fear, sadness, anger, or helplessness; acute stress, anxiety, and depression,” said Mollie Greene, Director of Human Services. “These are natural responses to traumatic events.”
