Spring Lake Theatre presents “The Sound of Music”

(SPRING LAKE, NJ) — Spring Lake Theatre presents The Sound of Music from August 14-24, 2025. This beloveded musical that tells the inspiring story of Maria, a spirited young woman studying to become a nun in Austria during the late 1930s.

When she is sent to be the governess for the seven children of widowed naval captain Georg von Trapp, Maria brings joy and music into their lives, transforming their strict household. As she bonds with the children and falls in love with Captain von Trapp, they must navigate the challenges posed by the rise of Nazism and the impending war.
