Vice President JD Vance broke his silence on social media as President Donald Trump fumed at Israel and Iran on Tuesday, claiming that both violated the ceasefire he brokered earlier.
Trump announced on Monday that Israel and Iran had agreed on a “Complete and Total CEASEFIRE,” hours after Iran launched a missile strike against a U.S. military base in Qatar in retaliation for U.S. strikes against Tehran’s nuclear facilities. Starting at 12 a.m. ET, Trump said that Iran would begin a ceasefire for 12 hours, and then Israel would follow. The 24-hour mark would signal an official end to the war.
