Two young men were injured in a shooting and crash in North Philadelphia overnight, police said.
According to police, the incident happened around 1 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2025, at the intersection of Broad and Clearfield Streets.
Police said a vehicle crashed into a pole after a shooting, and two men who were inside the vehicle, an 18-year-old and a 19-year-old, had suffered gunshot wounds.
The 18-year-old was shot in the stomach and leg and the 19-year-old was shot in the leg, police said. Both were taken to the hospital, but the 18-year-old is in critical condition.
Police said the vehicle, a black Audi sedan, had also been struck by gunfire. Two firearms were recovered from the scene.
