Police are investigating after a woman was struck by three vehicles along Route 1 in East Falls on Tuesday morning.
According to police, the incident happened at about 5:05 a.m., when a woman in the roadway heading southbound was struck by three vehicles on Roosevelt Boulevard between Fox Street and Ridge Avenue.
In a morning update, officials said that the incident happened when a Honda Pilot, in the southbound lanes, was unable to stop before striking a woman who was walking in the lane of traffic “for an unknown reason.”
After this vehicle collided with the woman, officials said a Dodge Charger, in the same lane, slowed to avoid the crash, police said.
