Yankees shore up bullpen ahead of Dodgers’ finale

LOS ANGELES — The Yankees’ bullpen had to eat up a lot of innings during losses to the Dodgers on Friday and Saturday, so they added a fresh arm for Sunday’s series finale.
Right-handed starter Carlos Carrasco, a starter for the Yankees early on this season, is back from Scranton/Wilkes-Barre to be a long relief option and righty Yerry De los Santos was optioned to Triple-A.
If needed, Carrasco should be able to give the Yankees some innings because he rejoined the team with no outings in the past 12 days.
“He’s got length, so it definitely gives us coverage,” manager Aaron Boone said.
